The Status Map Manager enables you to manage the status maps that depict the geographic or physical location and the status of the devices, objects, and interfaces in your network.
To access the Status Map Manager from the navigation bar, click the Events menu and select Status Map Manager.
The following controls enable you to manage status maps.
The latest implementation of Status Maps (as of SevOne NMS 5.6.0) no longer requires the maps to be refreshed. This is because a websocket connection opens to the REST API, which results in all the data being updated automatically. For this reason, we recommend having all Status Maps in a separate report and keeping refresh set to Off (its default state).
Add Status Map - Click to display the Choose Map Image pop-up where you select the map image to use as the background for the status map. Select an image in the list and click Create Status Map to display the image on the Status Map Editor page where you add the nodes and paths to the status map.
Manage Map Images - Click to display the Map Image Manager pop-up that enables you to add, edit, and delete the images that you use as the background for status maps.
Click Upload New Image to display a pop-up that enables you to enter the name of a new image and to navigate your file system from where you want to upload a new image. The image must be a .bmp, .gif, .jpg, or .png.
Select an image and click Edit to change the image name.
Select an image and click Delete to delete the image from SevOne NMS.
Click the map name to view the map on the Status Map Viewer.
Click to edit the map on the Status Map Editor.
